Is Florida a bad state to move? Why are the houses so cheap?
I have read reviews on Florida and people act like its some kind of hell hole trap there. Is moving there a bad idea? Why are the houses so damn cheap?
I just moved here. I like it. I hear the humidity is BAD in the summer time (and I believe it). Some people seem to think there’s a high crime rate … which I haven’t noticed. There is a lot of panhandling here though.
Houses are cheap because too many people bought houses they couldn’t afford, because property values have dropped like a rock with so many people walking away from underwater mortgages (or getting foreclosed), and because it’s hard to get credit to buy them, so few of them (relative to the supply) are getting sold.
But like I said, so far I like it here.
